Hey folks!
How you doing? Me, I’m sitting here watching a Paul Newman biography video out of the corner of my eye. What a guy. Makes me wanna go eat some hard boiled eggs. Did you know that he raced cars? ( I didn’t know that.) At the moment, I’m in awe of the sentence “Paul now planned his film shoots around his racing schedule.”
It’s a brief moment of chillin’ in a few crazy weeks. I’m in the home stretch of album work, and I’m ready to be DONE! I can’t wait to hold it in my hands. Go to http://lizzy.net/category/buy-the-cd/ to pre-order the CD. I’ll sign all the pre-ordered copies (weird!), so get ‘em while they’re hot! You’ve got about two weeks until they’re out
We’ve got a bunch of shows coming up this week- we’ll be playing our hometown of Carrboro, NC on Thursday, May 27th at the Station. It’s a free show with the whole band and it starts at 10 p.m. We’re looking forward to a fun night with friends and a good bit o’ dancing. On Friday, May 28th, Dylan and I will be playing an acoustic show at 7 p.m. on Front Street in Burlington, NC. We’ll bring out some folkier tunes and a chilled-out vibe. Then we’re bringing the whole band back for Saturday, May 29th at 2 p.m. in Martinsville, VA at the Rooster Walk Festival. I’m so excited about this show! Check out the festival at http://www.roosterwalk.com/. I think we’ll hang out for Saturday night, so feel welcome to come up and camp out.
That’s about it for now! I’m chugging along, writing songs and doing my thing. I hope all is well, and I hope to see you sometime this weekend!
Love and thanks for reading,
Lizzy
